Romania’s Lucescu to coach Turkish national football team

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced on Wednesday that Romanian football coach Mircea Lucescu would be the Turkish national football team’s new coach.

According to a statement from the TFF on Wednesday, the signing ceremony is scheduled to take place in İstanbul on Friday.

Lucescu, who is expected to sign a two-year contract with a one-year option, previously trained the Galatasaray and Beşiktaş clubs.

He will succeed Fatih Terim, who said his contract was unilaterally canceled by the TFF on July 26.
