The country resumed a downward trend following a one-week spike in the case numbers.

The number of patients in intensive care continued to rise, increasing by 14 to 769, the chart indicated.

Active cases, however, number around 22,000, with more than 157,500 people having recovered.

Several hospitals in Central Anatolia resumed functioning as coronavirus treatment centers following the spike in numbers.
