Turkey’s coronavirus cases increased by 1,186 to reach 155,686 on Saturday, while the death toll now stands at 4,308, with 32 more deaths over the past 24 hours, according to a chart posted on Twitter by Health Minister Fahrettin Koca.

“Considering the number of tests, we have a number of new cases within an expected margin,” Koca said while calling on everyone to comply with the rules aimed at containing the spread of the coronavirus.

A total of 40,178 tests were conducted over the past 24 hours.

There are 775 coronavirus patients in intensive care across Turkey, the chart indicated, with 388 of them on ventilators.

Recoveries officially number 117,602 as of the present time.

The Turkish health ministry has not disclosed the number of cases by province, except in one instance.
