Turkey’s unemployment edged down in November: report

Turkey’s unemployment rate edged down to 13.3 percent in November from 13.4 percent a month earlier, official data showed on Monday, reflecting a limited reaction to the economy’s rebound from recession, Reuters reported.

The unemployment rate stood at 12.3 percent in the same period of the previous year. The non-agricultural unemployment rate dipped to 15.4 percent in the period, from 15.7 percent a month earlier, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

Turkey’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate fell to 13.2 percent from 13.6 percent a month earlier.
