Chechen leader’s son stars on Turkish state-run TV

Chechen leader had visited the set of the famous TV drama.

Adem Kadyrov, one of the sons of Ramzan Kadyrov, head of the Chechen Republic, has appeared in an episode of a Turkish TV show broadcast by the state-run TRT, Sputnik Turkish service reported on Thursday.

The 11-year-old boy starred in “Diriliş: Ertuğrul,” a historical fiction with a nationalistic narrative about 13th century Turks, often described as a propaganda tool spreading implicit references in support of the Turkish government.

Ramzan Kadyrov previously paid a visit to the show’s set and invited the cast and the producers to Chechnya.
