Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday said that Turkey is constructing a 32-story building across from the United Nations headquarters, representing the glory of Turkey, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported.
“We have been building a new Turkish house across from the United Nations building in Manhattan. The new building will befit Turkey, which is growing, developing and increasing its stature in many areas,” said Erdoğan during a press conference at İstanbul Atatürk Airport before leaving for the UN General Assembly in New York.
“God willing, our building will be completed in 36 months. This building with its 32 stories will befit the dignity of our country in terms of being situated in a lively district, just across from the UN building,” added Erdoğan.
