HDP spokesman: Militants travel from Raqqa to Ankara for $1,250

Must read

The spokesman for the pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), Ayhan Bilgen, said on Sunday that trips from Raqqa to Ankara have grown in number, warning against the movement of radical terrorists from Syria to Turkey.

Raqqa is the self-declared capital of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria. The HDP’s Bilgen said that there is a market for transporting people from Raqqa to Ankara’s main AŞTİ bus terminal at the cost of $1,250 per passenger.

Bilgen warned against the arrival of extremist militants from the Free Syrian Army who were initially affiliated with al-Qaeda as well as the Al Nusra Front and ISIL.

“Who took these people there and who is bringing them back?” Bilgin asked, implying the negligence of Turkish intelligence in failing to prevent the radical extremist flow to Turkey.
