6 Turks detained in Israel released on bail

Six Turkish citizens who were arrested by the Jerusalem police at the Al Aqsa Mosque on Jan. 19 were released on bail by an Israeli court that same evening, Hürriyet reported.

Six businessmen including the Kayseri branch chairman of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD) were detained at the Al Aqsa Mosque compound following Friday prayer and taken to the David Police Station.

According to the report, the six businessmen will appear before an Israeli court on Sunday.

Three Turkish nationals who were arrested by Jerusalem police at the Al Aqsa Mosque on Dec. 22 were released on bail by an Israeli court on Dec. 24.
