Two judges and one public prosecutor have been arrested in Sakarya as part of an investigation targeting the Gülen movement, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Justice and Development Party (AKP) government accuse of being behind a failed coup attempt on July 15, the T24 news portal reported on Thursday.

The two judges — Samet Kaya, Hurşit Özkaya — and the public prosecutor, Yunus Emre Özbay, were dismissed from their jobs in the aftermath of the coup attempt and were arrested on Thursday in an investigation pursued by the Sakarya Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. (Turkey Purge)
