Turkish airstrikes kill at least 9 PKK terrorists in SE Turkey

At least nine militants from the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) were killed by Turkish airstrikes in the southeastern Turkish provinces of Şırnak and Diyarbakır, the Turkish army said Thursday.

According to a statement from the Turkish General Staff, seven PKK terrorists were killed in an airstrike in the Lice district of Diyarbakır province, and two other PKK terrorists were also killed in another airstrike in Şırnak as part of Turkish Air Forces operations across Turkey’s border with Iraq.

The statement also said that more than 7,000 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations while PKK terrorist attacks have killed more than 600 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, since July 2015.
