The Turkish lira reach a record low against the US dollar on Friday, at 3.40 lira to the dollar, a continuation of steep acceleration that began at the beginning of November.
The Turkish lira has continued to drop against the dollar in recent weeks amid political uncertainty that could have been triggered by a government move to introduce legislation seeking 0a switch to an executive presidential system of governance as well as regional crises in Syria and Iraq.
