Access to major social media and messaging platforms in Turkey was restored on Monday after a nationwide curb that began late Sunday, Reuters reported, citing NetBlocks, an internet watchdog.
Platforms affected included X, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp.
The throttling started around 20:45 GMT on Sunday and ended after 21 hours, data from Turkey’s Freedom of Expression Association showed.
The group said services would return in the following hours.
The curb followed a call by the main opposition Republican People’s Party for rallies after police set up barricades near the party’s İstanbul headquarters.
Authorities in the city had announced a temporary ban on demonstrations in central districts.
