Turkey ranks second after China in the number of companies listed in Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2025 “Top 250 International Contractors,” the state-run Anadolu news agency reported, citing a statement by the Turkish Trade Ministry on Friday.

According to the list, 45 Turkish companies are included, with a combined international project value of $20.8 billion. China holds the top spot with the largest number of firms.

The ENR ranking is based on revenue from projects performed outside each company’s home country.

Overall, the top 250 international contractors recorded $501.2 billion in revenue in 2024, an increase of 0.5 percent from the previous year. Median international revenue declined 2.7 percent. ENR reported that 91 percent of companies on the list were profitable.

The top five contractors are Spain’s Grupo ACS/Hochtief, France’s VINCI and Bouygues, China’s Communications Construction Group and Austria’s STRABAG SE.
