7 more Turkish soldiers injured in Operation Olive Branch

On the 27th day of a military operation launched by Turkey in northern Syria, the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) announced on Thursday that seven of its soldiers were injured in two separate attacks during the ongoing operation in the Afrin region of Syria.

The Turkish military and Free Syrian Army (FSA) fighters on Jan. 20 launched Operation Olive Branch in the Afrin region of Syria against the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), which Turkey sees as the Syrian extension of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

More than 30 soldiers have been killed and dozens of have been injured to date during the operation.

The statement said a total of 1,528 terrorists from various terror organizations in the region have been “rendered ineffective” thus far.
