Erdoğan’s advisor says EU is sick, Turkey must part ways with it

Yiğit Bulut, a chief advisor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has said the European Union is sick and struck by a plague and that Turkey must part ways with it to avoid catching the plague.

Bulut’s remarks came during a live broadcast on the TRT Haber television channel on Thursday.

“The European Union is economically, politically and sociologically a sick man right now. And Turkey must immediately protect herself from this plague-stricken, sick man in every way. Otherwise we will also catch the plague.”

Arguing that Turkey must part ways with the EU, Bulut said Turkey should rescue itself from getting infected because, he claimed, Turkey is in one of three big centers of the new world order.

Bulut previously threatened the EU, warning them to refrain any negative move against Turkey or Erdoğan, saying, “You will be praying for every second you breathe!”

Reiterating his theory that the EU will collapse in an article published in the pro-Erdoğan Star daily, Bulut said: “Turkey’s EU membership is another topic under debate. The end of this lie is also a matter of time…”

“The threats from EU countries against Turkey, the Turkish nation, our geography and Islam’s ummah and those who make those threats must clearly understand that if anything untoward is done to this nation, this country, the values of this state or this ummah, and most notably our president, you will be praying for every second you breathe! If you know what praying is…” said Erdoğan’s chief advisor.

In February, speaking on public broadcaster TRT, Bulut claimed that Turkey has developed missiles that have the capability of striking any country within the EU.

“If even a single hair of Erdoğan is harmed, nobody in any region will be able to enjoy even a breakfast,” Bulut said in March in remarks with a heavily nationalist tone.
Bulut, who has a secular background, kept claiming that the ummah and the nation have become stronger again under Erdoğan’s leadership.
