Turkish police on Tuesday detained 55 people including pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions Party (DBP) provincial and district co-chairpersons in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.
Police raids on dozens of locations were under way on Tuesday morning.
No details of charges the detainees are facing are yet available.
